Arlo Hudson Square, an exciting new hotel that opened last fall, is on the hunt for the most talented street artist to paint a four-story wall in the courtyard of the property.

Those interested will fill out a form detailing a description of their original art installation including medium, materials and cost of project. Five finalists will then be chosen and from there the public will decide the winner with a social media vote using #MakeMeFamousArlo.

In addition to the honor of being declared the winner and getting great exposure, the artist selected will receive a VIP weekend at Arlo Hudson Square including a two-night stay in a terrace room, complimentary dinner for two at Harold’s Meat + Three and a happy hour for 20 in the courtyard under the masterpiece.

Why: The installation of this local artist’s work is just another example of Arlo’s ethos; encouraging guests to live, breathe and experience the energy of the respective neighborhoods. Each hotel does this through their communal oriented design and partnerships with the makers and shakers of the creative class. For instance, uniforms were designed by Miller’s Oath, an exclusive bespoke label based in Hudson Square neighborhood. Other key neighborhood partners include Blind Barber, MOUTH, JOE Coffee and more.
