Join Acid Cinema for a swirling collage of Futures past and present  this Thursday at Brooklyn Fire Proof East, 120 Ingraham Street in Williamsburg. Steve Pavlovsky of Liquid Light Lab (http://liquidlightlab.com) performs a live oil-based psychedelic light show, projected on top of an assemblage of film clips familiar and obscure, with vinyl musical accompaniment from DJ Chris Gersbeck. The night’s theme is The Future, and we will melt together cinematic depictions of the future from all eras of the film age.

Metropolis, Moon, Aliens, Robocop, Terminator 2, Forbidden Planet, 2001: A Space Odyssey, and clips from 40 other films will make an appearance.

Surrounding the walls of Brooklyn Fire Proof East’s gallery space will be an art show featuring local artists working in a variety of mediums. Reception begins at 7pm. No cover at the door.
