On May 30th ACT V: The End of AIDS & Arms Around the Child will join the amazing cast and producers of SLEEP NO MORE for a spectacular fundraiser in New York City.  For one special night, the McKittrick Hotel will open its doors to celebrity, famed actors & adored musicians to perform, play, and lose themselves in the mystery of this live film noir.  In addition to a full run of  the acclaimed experiential play Sleep No More, the event will feature pre- and post-show performances by the likes of Santigold, Angela McCluskey, DJ Chelsea Leyland, The Hot Sardines and King Holiday.  Proceeds from the event will fund the direct care that Arms Around the Child provides to children in adversity in the impoverished world and EndGame’s ongoing efforts.  The Event is hosted by the likes of Hugh Jackman, Neil Patrick Harris, Geoffrey Rush, Lou Reed, and many more (see below).  Information for purchasing tickets can be found HERE.

In addition to the NYC launch event, a silent auction supporting the cause has begun on Charity Buzz.  Featuring rare, limited edition photos, concert tickets to see incredible artists such as Beyonce and Sting, and luxury items by Jimmy Choo, Bulgari, and others, the silent auction is the fastest, and easiest, way for folks outside of NYC to join the fight to defeat AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria.  PRESS HERE to check out the auction!

Act V: The End of AIDS, Arms Around the Child and EndGame are all endeavors created by the incomparable Leigh Blake, one of the world’s foremost crusaders against HIV/AIDS in the global community.  Blake has been an international public health advocate for more than twenty years.  She co-founded the Red Hot Organization which uses music to create public awareness of HIV/AIDS and founded Keep A Child Alive (KCA), which provides anti-retroviral treatment and care to children and families with HIV/AIDS.

The benefit will include a live auction with objects of desire ranging from $500 to $30,000, including photography by Herb Ritts and Miles Aldridge; a private photo session and print with Victoria’s Secret photographer, Russell James; as well as a 7-night stay on Sir Richard Branson’s Necker Island.

WHO WE ARE
ACT V: The End of AIDS is the last chapter in the global fight against HIV/AIDS. Founded by Leigh Blake, former President of Keep a Child Alive (and charitable advisor to Alicia Keys for 10 years) and Dr. Paul Zeitz, former Exec Director of Global AIDS Alliance, ACT V combines the power of artists, musicians, and cultural icons with the energy of a new generation ready to see the end of AIDS. This summer, ACT V is partnering with the Global Fund to launch EndGame – a global campaign to defeat AIDS, TB and malaria. EndGame harnesses the power of the millennial generation that has never known a world without these devastating diseases to galvanize the powers that be to and bring them to an end.

Arms Around the Child provides direct care for children orphaned or made vulnerable by AIDS and advocates for bold initiatives for children living in adversity. AATC works to ensure all children have loving homes, medical treatment, protection from abuse and access to education. The future can be bleak for children living in institutions, living on the streets, being trafficked, forced into labor, children who are heads of households, and the victims of child sexual abuse.
