Artist Statement

My work is landscape as imagined in my studio, suggesting memory and time. The movement of paint from translucent abstraction to textured plant-like shapes wanders into subjects of our relationship with landscape. Water is a dominant theme, taking various forms; life supporting/threatening – questioning perceptions of our natural environment.
