John Lloyd and Jane Talcott will exhibit new oil paintings of Brooklyn neighborhoods at Starbucks on Seventh Avenue in Park Slope, Brooklyn. Entitled “Brooklyn Town and Country”, the exhibit opens June 1st and continues through June 29th. A reception will be held June 2nd, 6 – 8 PM.
John and Jane work on site in Brooklyn observing life in the streets and public parks. The exhibit includes new work from the Promenade in Brooklyn Heights and Prospect Park West in Park Slope.
John is inspired by the architecture, people, and stories that make up a landscape.
Jane is interested in color and movement, and the external as an internal state.
Brooklyn’s distinct communities and balance of nature and the urban environment capture the artists’ imagination. View their work, meet John and Jane and enjoy refreshments.
