Zahra, 2010, oil on canvas, 48 x 48 inches

Yolanda Sanchez paints in order to connect to the world. She dreams of gardens as she paints, gardens as metaphors and as containers of her meandering emotions. Gardens imply nature, and it is Sanchez’s response to nature’s restorative capacity that is the focus of her life experiences and awareness of being. So too are these paintings restorative.

Wild Companions is in cooperation with Kenise Barnes Fine Art where there is a concurrent exhibition. http://www.kenisebarnesfineart.com/
