Whether you’re an aspiring artist or designer squatting in Bushwick, a professional artiste with work in galleries from Chelsea to Dumbo, or just a constant doodler in your 9-5 cubicle, this contest is for fans of Celebrate Brooklyn to show us what you’ve got! Over the next two months, we’re asking fans to create a design that will be printed on hundreds of t-shirts and sold at the Celebrate Brooklyn performances. Once you have your design (which can be digitally created or hand-drawn), submit it to us by January 31, 2011 and we’ll announce the winner soon thereafter. The final t-shirt design will be chosen by the expert judges on the Celebrate Brooklyn Staff! The winner will be given a 2011 Friend of Celebrate Brooklyn Membership that includes reserved seats for 4 plus tent access for each regular show and more!

Here are the details:

* Contest: Design A Celebrate Brooklyn T-Shirt!
* Description: Create a T-shirt design that evokes the overall vibe and character of the Celebrate Brooklyn! Performing Arts Festival. Stick to a maximum of 4 colors. If your design is hand-drawn, you will need to create digital vector artwork if it is chosen.
* Details: What do you need to turn in? One image of your design mocked up on our T-shirt design template. Download the Illustrator template from the link to the right. If you feel you need to include your design at full size to show all detail, you may also include a full-size jpg, pdf or eps file of the design. Zip all files together in a file not larger than 5MB. If your design is chosen, final artwork will need to be an EPS file.
* Fine print: You MUST own ALL rights to ALL artwork. BRIC will not have any ownership of these designs, only the right to use the design on t-shirts and merchandise.
* Due Date: All entries must be received by 5 pm January 31, 2011.

* What to Include in Your Email: Your full name, phone number and email address (this will only be used to contact you in the event that you are a finalist and for no other purpose). Please attach files, do not embed them into the email body.
